Hello and Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the brand new blog of the Locomotive Conservation and Learning Trust. This page is not intended to replace our website - see this at www.lclt.org.uk where you will find more information on the Trust and how to support its valuable work. Rather this is intended to be a fluid account of our activities and progress as our first project, the restoration to working order of J21 class 0-6-0 locomotive No.65033 and a North Eastern Railway bogie tool van No.5523 as a supporting Interpretation Vehicle.
At the moment we are working hard on a means of funding these aspirations, so there is not much to report, but as things progress there will be more and more to see.
If you can, please support us in our aims. For those who know 65033 from the Beamish side, you might like to see the separate blog relating to the museum transport activities at http://beamishtransport.blogspot.com and this will also show you what to expect on this blog in due course.
